At Gresham Family & Bankruptcy Law, we represent clients in bankruptcy, family law and estate matters. Our Gresham, Oregon-based firm has three attorneys: Lillian Suelzle Watson, Natalie A. Hedman and Kathryn Bourn. All members of our firm use a supportive but strong approach and strive for client satisfaction in all cases.
Attorney Lillian Suelzle Watson
Lillian Suelzle Watson founded Gresham Family & Bankruptcy Law more than 11 years ago after graduating from Lewis & Clark School of law after a successful career as a residential loan officer. Mrs. Watson has continued to expand her legal training and is also a trained mediator, collaborative attorney and negotiator. She is also trained as an arbitrator through the Multnomah County Family Law Court. She strives to resolve even the most contentious, complex issues by reaching settlements that are individualized for the unique facts in her client's matter. Mrs. Watson is a trained Collaborative Family Law Professional and can offer her client a collaborative approach which offers various benefits to her client in the form of cost savings and the reduced emotional strain through a settlement without court involvement. While sometimes it is necessary to take matter to court, which can expose more personal information than clients usually want known to a judge, the collaborative divorce can offer private negotiations. As a Gresham, Oregon, native and current resident, attorney Lillian Suelzle Watson takes pride in bettering the community by making a difference in the lives of her clients through her firm's devotion to the legal needs of its clients.
Attorney Natalie A. Hedman
Natalie joined Gresham Family & Bankruptcy Law in May, 2012 and is passionate about assisting our clients' transition safely and fairly, regardless of family structure, socioeconomic backgrounds or difference. Natalie believes the idea of marriage and/or family is a dedication by civil contract on the surface, but also, less evidently, should be a commitment to self-expression and personal growth. Sometimes the same components that work together to make a healthy person and relationship are the very same components that may work against a continued commitment. Natalie is good at navigating toward solutions that protect her client’s and their children, during litigation, and for years after litigation is complete.
In her free time, Natalie enjoys biking, gardening, and trail running in the forest with friends or her dog, Frodo. Because of her deep appreciation for nature and community, she can frequently be found participating in a number of community or outdoor activities. Most of all though, she loves spending time with her daughter, her friends, and her dog, Frodo.
Attorney Kathryn Bourn
Kathryn joined Gresham Family & Bankruptcy Law in 2016. She bring her prior legal experience to our clients and enjoys the opportunity that family law presents as she helps her client navigate through stressful, challenging and pivotal times in their lives. Her experience has provided her with the insight to assist you and she is committed to helping people craft clear, workable agreements. Kathryn will help you arrive at a fair settlement if at all possible, but she will also be a strong advocate for you in court if necessary when negotiating a reasonable agreement is not possible.
As a native Oregonian, Ms. Bourn enjoys the many outdoor activities our region offers, including snowshoeing, backpacking, and bicycling.
